We invite you to join us for a hands-on art workshop celebrating Juneteenth! We will explore themes of freedom, resilience, and community through creative projects inspired by African American art and culture. We welcome all ages and skill levels to create meaningful, expressive works in a fun and inclusive environment.

Paper Mâché 1 day Workshop

Explore paper mâché as a dynamic and expressive sculptural medium in this 2 day workshop. Create a form using cardboard, paper, and newspaper. Learn layering, shaping, and finishing techniques to turn simple materials into bold, dimensional works of art.

This is a new class that will focus on how to throw. We will be using reclaimed clay, dissecting, and discussing our pots to become better potters! This is a class for lots of practice and fun. Yes, there will be challenges. (Think Great Pottery Throw Down!) This beginner class will break down mechanics and the big 3 issues when you start to throw: centering, opening and pulling even walls.

Through a combination of demonstrations, group instruction, and one-on-one guidance, students will develop essential skills including clay preparation, centering, pulling, trimming, and glazing. Includes 25lbs of clay, underglazes, glazes, and regular firings.

In this course, we will learn and practice figure depiction in various poses using different
