The popular film/lecture series “Thursday Night Noir”, hosted by Peter Aglinskas, creator of the lecture series “The Noir Style in Image, Word, and Sound”, returns to the Brauer Museum of Art on the campus of Valparaiso University for its fifth season of fun and informative forays into the shadowy world of noir.
Thumb a dead-end ride with glamour gals and oily hoods, hapless squarejohns caught in the crosshairs of fate, and the most vicious femme fatale in the history of classic film noir!
Four iconic movies representing distinct themes and eras of film noir will be featured:
The Window (1949)
Kansas City Confidential (1952)
A lecture/discussion will follow each screening.
Events start at 7 p.m. CST and are free and open to the public.
