Family Arts Fest

South Shore Arts is thrilled to bring back the popular Family Arts Fest, Sunday, May 5, from 11am–3pm. Don’t miss out on this art-filled day fun for the whole family celebrating the arts!

Participate in a series of art workshops in all three South Shore Arts studios. Create make-and-take projects and participate in a community art project, fun for all ages. Artists will do live demonstrations of ceramic wheel throwing and paint pouring.

Play with and learn about instruments in a musical playground with local nonprofit, Rockopelli. Trama catering will provide free sweets and snacks. Families can participate in free face painting, balloon animals, and caricature portrait drawing during the festivities. Theatre at the Center will have a meet and greet with Belle from Beauty and the Beast!

In the gallery, check out the work from over 800 junior and senior high school students in the 50th Annual Tri-County Exhibition. The award ceremony will be held at 1 pm with over $10,000 awarded to students, grades 6-12.

In the Meeting Room Gallery, South Shore Arts Hammond Scholarship Program and the Teen Arts Board will have an exhibit showcasing the work accomplished this year.

The Youth Symphony Orchestra will perform a Spring Concert at 3 pm in the Theatre. Tickets are required for this event and can be purchased at the box office.
