In compliance with the directive of the Governor of Illinois, recommendations of the Center for Disease Control and concern for the safety and well-being of those who visit the gallery, the Tall Grass Arts Association Gallery will be closed beginning on Friday, March 20.

The Gallery will reopen on April 3, if conditions permit. Please check with the Tall Grass website, Facebook or call the gallery at (708) 748-3377 to confirm that it has re-opened.

The Beaux Arts Ball, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 28, has been postponed.  Negotiations are underway with Idlewild Country Club for a new date.  Everyone who has registered for the Ball will be notified, personally, of the new date. 

Art School is officially closed today March 21st, 2020 due to the stay at home per the Governor of Illinois.  We plan to reopen the Art School April 7th if permitted. In regards to the Jewelry Workshops scheduled for March 22nd and 29th they will be rescheduled after the stay at home ban is lifted.  People who have signed up will be notified directly when a date becomes available.

Our new exhibit presents dozens of works by artists who demonstrate

their expertise in traditional as well as new methods. They work in various media: 

oil, watercolor, and acrylic painting, photography, printmaking, fiber art, 

mixed media and sculpture. Some have found you don't have to travel

 very far to find symmetry and others have traveled to

 distant places to capture intriguing imagery.
