The Puppet Shows Return!

South Shore Arts presents Anansi the Spider & Other African Tales, featuring internationally-acclaimed puppeteers Jim West and Ian Antal!

Anansi, the playful trickster of African folklore, springs to life in shadow puppetry, while paper bags are transformed into zebras, gazelles and lions in classic folk tales, including How the Tortoise Got His Markings and The Lion & the Mouse.

Packed with puppet-making ideas using art inspired by African masks and music derived from tribal rhythms, as well as classical music, this program is ideal for Pre-K through 4th grades.
